Narrative

The life of the spriggan is just one of many occupations that arose in the Calvard Republic. Van Arkride accepts assignments that are too good to be sent to other respectable sources, whether he is acting as a detective, negotiator, or bounty hunter. It may be something the police can’t handle, work that’s better left out of the public eye, or even a request from a criminal of organization in the underworld; so long as it pays and doesn’t cross too much over the gray line, he’ll accept near-any job that comes across his table.

It is 1208 years old. A prim-and-proper young woman in an elite academy outfit walks inside a run-down multi-tenant building in the downtown area of Edith, the capital of the country. She makes three knocks on the door, steeling herself.
